SUMMER HORSE CAMPS
Dates for 2010 will be posted here after the new year. Sign up early - camp spots fill up quickly!
Some of the great activities that we have planned for our camps this year are Lots of Riding (of Course!) and arts and crafts, vet and farrier demonstrations, mini-horseshows, scavenger hunts, field trips to other local barns, opportunities to join us at local horse shows, lessons in daily horse care, and most importantly safety instruction! Our lesson horses are very safe and specifically suited for teaching riders of any age. We teach our students how to ride and care for the horses in a friendly, fun environment that is geared toward promoting a lifelong relationship with horses!
Camps run from 9-3 monday thru friday and arrangements can be made for early drop-off and late pick-up if necessary. Students are required to ride in long pants, either jeans or riding pants, and boots or sneakers with a good sole that is not slippery, we also require a helmet to be worn during ALL mounted work- a riding helmet or a bicycle helmet is suitable for this. Students are asked to pack a lunch and change of clothes to wear (usually shorts) after riding since they usually end up very dirty and wet during hot weather!
We are looking forward to seeing many familiar faces again this year and some new ones too! If we can answer any other question or to reserve your spot please call 770-753-3910!
